What To Expect
Following your inital consultation, a qualified healthcare professional must make the final decision on suitability and treatment planning, based on individual assessment and clinical judgement.
- The injection site is selected based on your dose and comfort, commonly the arm, thigh or hip.
- Delivered slowly to help your body adjust.
- Some clients notice a warm flush or light sensation during the injection. This typically resolves after the treatment is complete and is monitored during a post-consultation observation period.
- Delivered as part of a structured course, with frequency tailored to you by your practitioner.
- Typically given in the upper arm.
- You will experience a standard injection with a brief ‘pinching’ sensation at the site of administration.
- Your urine may appear slightly pink for a short time afterwards; this is completely normal.
- No recovery downtime is required. Clients can resume regular activities at their discretion.

What happens during my appointment?
Every visit starts with a thorough consultation to make sure the treatment is right for you, followed by the injection itself and an observation period afterwards. Most appointments take 15 to 30 minutes in total.
Does it hurt?
Most clients feel a pinching sensation and mild, short-lasting discomfort at the injection site. Our practitioners use a technique called the Z-track method, which helps minimise pain and irritation.
Where is the injection given?
It depends on the treatment and the dose, but the most common sites are the upper arm, outer thigh or hip, whichever gives the best comfort and absorption for you. Your practitioner will talk you through this at your consultation.
How often will I need to come in?
This varies by treatment and your individual goals. Some treatments may require regular administration. Others may be delivered as part of a structured treatment plan. Your practitioner will map this out with you at your first visit.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime is at the discretion of the individual. Most clients choose to return to normal activities straight away. We’ll just ask you to avoid rubbing the injection site for 24 hours and to stay well hydrated.
Is this treatment right for me?
