Cosmetic treatments are carried out by practitioners with training and experience in their respective fields. Prescription-only treatments are typically performed by doctors and/or Registered Nurses with appropriate training in cosmetic medicine, under the guidance of Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon Dr Terrence Scamp. Skin and laser treatments are usually carried out by Dermal Therapists or clinicians with specific qualifications in skin health and device-based treatments. Details of who will provide care, and what their role involves, are confirmed at consultation.
At the first visit, a detailed medical and lifestyle history is taken, concerns are discussed, and skin and facial features are assessed. There’s time to ask questions about different cosmetic treatments, with a full talk-through of likely benefits, possible risks, recovery considerations and approximate costs. From there, a personalised cosmetic treatment plan or skin programme can be suggested, aligned with individual goals. There is no obligation to proceed with treatment on the day.
